House Decor

I got a text from a friend the other day wanting to know if I was alive...since I hadn't blogged in a while! I am alive! I don't know how people blog everyday. I blogged almost everyday for a month and got tired of it.

I am finally getting around to posting pictures of our office. Unfortunately I can not figure out why these pictures are kind of blurry, but you get the idea. That desk came in about 100,000,000 pieces! OK, maybe not that many but there were a lot of pieces and half of them were not labeled and the other half were labeled wrong! It took Kory and I about 5+ hours to put it together. I'm pretty sure we put it together wrong 3 times before finally figuring it out. Thanks to my brother, Jason, for my cute polka dot lamp! I had to get a polka dot mouse pad to go with it!

This is the latest project Kory has been busy with. My parents have a big map like this at my house so we decided we wanted one too! Of course, frames that size can cost a fortune so Kory volunteered to make one. It turned out great!! We put pins in each of the places we have traveled to. One pin color for Kory, one color for me and a color for places we've been together.

Completing the office is a picture of the Idaho Falls temple that my in-laws gave us for Christmas that I love!

My family came to visit us for their Spring Break and while they were here my mom bought us some cute Easter decor. (She also filled our pantry, fridge, bathroom and cleaning supply closets!) She's the best!

And what would a blog post be without a funny story about Kory. The other day we were talking with some friends about the skittles that decorate my kitchen "shelf." The first thing my 2 year old nephew does every time he comes to our house, is run to the kitchen and point to the candy! While we were talking about that, Kory was admiring the lemons.
"I can't believe how long those stay good," he said.
I was confused.
He asked me how often I change them out.
That is when I had to break it to him that the lemons were fake!
He actually thought that for the past year I had been changing out my decorative lemons!

Your home is the best! Full of beauty and love. Where's the picture of the heater? That's all your Dad talks about! You scored having that by his bed when we came to visit! Thanks for being the best hostess...
