Yes, Kory was helping gut his dad's deer when his knife got away from him. These pictures are from the hospital about 8 hours after the incident. Thankfully his dad (a paramedic) helped him get the bleeding to stop and cleaned it up before I had to see it. Me and blood/hospitals/etc. don't go well together.
(Six stitches later...)
When Kory tells the story he will inform you that cutting himself "wasn't even the worst part of the day." He shot at and missed (because the deer was in trees/brush) "the biggest buck I have ever seen" on his way back to camp that afternoon. Better luck next time, babe!

Glad he is doing better! Where's the picture of you at the ER?! Sounds like you both are going to make it and the adventures continue! Hope he gets the big one next time!
I'm not good with blood either. That second picture actually got me woozy! I hope he feels better!!
