Summer Time, Swimming Time

Bowen loves being in the water. He's not so much a fan of sand or mud but he's willing to look past those things if he can get wet!! And for the record, he has a swim suit but when there's water around he's in that long before I can put his suit on.

The Great Outdoors

Bowen absolutely LOVES being outside. If you even say the word outside he will run over to the door, ready to go! Once out there he roams around like he owns the place (as you can tell from the pictures, he's constantly moving!) and when he's tired he will go into the garage and climb up in his stroller which obviously means, "Mom, I'm not ready to go inside but I'm ready for a walk."

Fishing Day

Kory invited us to tag along on a fishing day with his dad and brother last week. He convinced me by saying I could get some sun. Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly warm but I guess technically the sun was out. It's still so weird to me to be on a boat when it's not warm, but that's the AZ girl speaking!
Bowen was in heaven!! I mean, his life jacket bugged him a little but Grandpa, uncle and dad fed him snacks all day long so he got over it.  And the fishing bobbers aka BALLS kept him thoroughly entertained!


With no cousins on the boat he had free reign to check it all out...which he very much did!





He was pretty sleepy by the end of the day.

 

 Looking forward to another trip...to really get some sun!

Five Little Monkeys

The other night Kory was reading "Five Little Monkeys" to Bowen.
This is Kory's version:

Five little monkeys jumping on the bed. One fell off and bumped his head.
Mama called the doctor and...the doctor called social services to come take the other monkeys away!

Hair Cut

I keep thinking that I need to blog again, but I never know where to start so I convince myself it doesn't matter. But today I decided to just start. So while you won't be getting a post recapping the past however many months, today you get a post with some pictures of Bowen's 1st hair cut!

Birthday Boy!

Bowen turned ONE! I don't know how that happened! We were in Arizona for his big day so we got to celebrate with my family. We took Bowen on his 1st (and 2nd) carousel ride, enjoyed some ice cream (Grandma insisted!) and later had pizza and cake!

  I'm not sure if the smoke scared him or if he REALLY wanted the candle, but he was not too happy about his cake.

Luckily all was better during present time...he got his very own hat, just like dad!

 We sure do love this boy...and ALL his energy. He doesn't slow down for one second! We're not sure he'll ever learn to walk because right now, crawling gets him there fastest!
